MARIO VENUTI, singer-songwriter and guitarist from Catania, began his career in the 1980s with the band 'Denovo'. After eight years, he embarked on a solo career and in 1994 released his first solo album 'A little fever"and in 1996 the second album 'Microclimate". In 1997 he participated in Sanremo Giovani with the song 'Il più bravo del reame', plelude of the album '.Never as yesterday"which was a great success with the public and critics. In January 2003 he released the album 'Grandimprese"preceded by the single '.Truly". In 2004 with the song '.Cruel', Mario Venuti, received the Critics' Award and the Radio and TV Award at Sanremo. In 2005, the album 'Magnets', while in the 56th edition of the Sanremo Festival he brought, together with Arancia Sonora, the song 'Another place in the world". A year-long tour followed, resulting in the publication of the anthology "The workshop of the fantastic"which retraces fourteen years of successes by the Catanian singer-songwriter and was presented at the 2008 Sanremo Festival with the previously unreleased song 'Iron and fire". In October 2009, he released the unreleased album '.Recidivist". In 2011, Mario performed acoustic concerts, without accompanists on stage, throughout Italy. In 2012, anticipated on the radio by the single "What we lack', he released his seventh solo album, 'The Last Romantic" and in 2014 he released his eighth solo album "The Decline of the West", a concept-album written in six hands, with Kaballà and Francesco Bianconi. In 2016, he decided to revisit the classics of Italian and international songs and songs from his own repertoire with Urban Fabula in a jazz key, creating the project Mario Meets Jazz. This year in spring he released his new album 'Life engine"produced artistically by Mario Venuti together with Seba. The record also boasts the artistic collaboration of Kaballà and the presence of jazz drummer and rhythmic arranger Luca Scorziello. The whole record exudes a relaxed and positive mood and sounds like a repeated THANK YOU for the immense gifts that life can bestow upon us. After "Life engine"(2017) is the turn of the tenth album Soyuz 10 from which three singles were extracted: 'Il pubblico sei tu', 'Ciao cuore', and 'Silenzio al silenzio', currently in radio rotation.
In March 2020, the 'Casacasa Live Session' series was published on the official YT channel: a collection of seven live performances in which the artist performed some of his most famous songs directly from his living room. In May, the tracks were released on all digital platforms. On 17 September 2021, 'TROPITALIA' was released, a project in which Mario Venuti plays around, becoming a pure interpreter, reinterpreting some popular Italian songs in a tropicalist key.
