I Teenage Bottlerocket are an American music group with members from Laramie and Newcastle, formed in 2001 and currently on hiatus. The band was formed by twin brothers Brandon and Ray Carlisle, following the disbandment of their previous band, Homeless Wonders, in 2000. Originally consisting of Ray (bass and vocals), Brandon (drums), and Zach Doe (guitar), the band released their debut EP A Bomb, in 2002. Shortly afterwards, Doe returned to Chicago, leaving the twins without a guitarist until they found the University of Wyoming Music Majo, Joel Pattinson. In 2003 they recorded their first album Another Wayalso released on One Legged Pup. The release was on vinyl only, on Halloween night 2003. The band continues to play and promote at numerous venues. The band intended to embark on a short summer tour of the Midwest in 2004, but Pattinson was unable to go due to his obligations to the university orchestra. The Carlisles twins called on their old friend Kody Templeman to play guitar during the tour, and then brought him into the line-up permanently. Between the end of 2004 and 2005, the band recorded a new album, Totalwith the new record company Red Scare. After recording TotalThey play with Methadones, Chixdiggit, and The Mr. T Experience. During the winter of 2005/2006 they embarked on their European holiday tour. In the summer of 2006 Bottlerocket embarked on another national tour. On 28 December 2007, the band shot a video clip for the song In the Basement, from the album Warning Devicepublished by Red Scare Records. On 10 February 2009, Teenage Bottlerocket signed to Fat Wreck Chords. Their first album for the label, entitled They Came from the Shadowswas released on 15 September 2009. From this album was extracted the single Skate or Diefor which an official video was filmed. Two more albums were released in the following years, Freak Out! (2012) e Tales from Wyoming (2015).
