I Primus have finally decided to bring their tribute tour of the legends to Europe. Rushwith thefull execution of the prog rock milestone A Farewell To Kings (1977) followed by a set dedicated to their own pieces. L'unique opportunity to see the show in Italy is fixed for Wednesday 21 September 2022 at the Gran Teatro Geox in Paduaand the nominal tickets will be available as a preview for the fan club of the band from 10 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday 23 March, and for the whole public from 10 a.m. on Friday 25 March on channels Ticketone, Ticketmaster e Fastickets. Specials VIP packages will only be available on Ticketmaster.
The announcement comes after the extraordinary success of the US tour, first postponed due to the pandemic and recently expanded to include 46 shows across North America, now with a series of dates in Europe, including Italy. I Primus formed in 1984 in El Sobrante, California, and since then their style of mixing funk, metal, punk rock and psychedelia has influenced generations of alternative rock bands worldwide. The leader Les Claypool is recognised as one of the most talented bassists in the world thanks to his remarkable technical ability and innovative style. The band's last time in Italy was on 13 June 2015, with a leg of the tour Primus & The Chocolate Factorywhich re-released the remake of the soundtrack of Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory.
