Thai superstar Pyra, who has made a name for herself on social media thanks to her dystopian pop, lands in Italy for the first time as a guest of the Far East Film Festival at Udine's Teatro San Giorgio on Saturday 29 April. Tickets to attend the show will be available on Vivaticket from 11am on Tuesday 7 March.
In recent years, Pyra has become known for her great social and political commitment: in 2020, she released the single Bangkok, which became almost an anthem for Thais protesting the reform of the monarchical system that governs the country. Her TikToks have gone viral worldwide for her stances on feminism, social justice, consumerism and freedom of expression, which are also well represented in her very particular videos, which have caused her some problems with the Thai government. Her sound is modern pop with an urban sound and a touch of Thai-style satire.
