QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT: nominal ticket wins first battle against secondary ticketing

David has beaten Goliath: exactly one week before the opening of sales on Ticketone only a few dozen tickets for the only Italian concert of Queen + Adam Lambert by Friday 10 November at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna) are advertised in an arbitrary and bogus manner on secondary ticketing channels.

This was made possible by the introduction of the nominal ticket on Official Ticketone and Vivaticket sales circuitsas a preventive measure against online scalping. For the first time at a concert in an Italian sports hall, tickets are really nominal and not just in the name of the buyer: this means that each spectator will hold a ticket with his or her name printed on it. This is an extraordinary result if you think about what is happening for the English stages of the Queen + Adam Lambert tour, for which tickets can be easily found on all secondary ticketing sites.

The measures put in place for the occasion - the purchase of a maximum of 4 tickets per transaction and the nominal ticket - scared off the scalpers but not the fans, who responded favourably to the initiative by purchasing on the Official Ticketone and Vivaticket channels. This is a great vote of confidence on the part of the users, even though no details have yet been released on the possibility of changing the name of the individual ticket.
