SCISSOR SISTERS: GLAM POP HITS MILAN IN NOVEMBER FOR ONLY ITALIAN DATE

With the new album 'Magic Hour' released in May, Scissor Sisters announce their new European tour for next autumn. The only Italian stop will be on 1 November at Milan's Magazzini Generali.

With the single 'Only the Horses' which wins the title of most played international track on Italian radios this summer and already Top 5 in the I-Tunes charts, Scissor Sisters confirm their great ability to write hits that make their way into the hearts and heads of a very wide audience.

A real authority like Bono called them 'the best pop group in the world'.
Their first three albums have sold millions of copies - 4.5 in the UK alone
- making them famous everywhere from America, Japan and Australia to England, which they call their 'spiritual home'. They have collaborated with artists as diverse as Santigold, 2 Bears and Kylie Minogue. Their worldwide success, eclectic dance-pop-rock sound and wild New York club style can be said to have paved the way for Lady Gaga. Their songs have shaped the soundtrack of this century like those of few other bands.

Their eponymous 2004 debut, a platinum-selling album and the UK's best-selling album of the year, proved that stylistic promiscuity need not be a barrier to acceptance by the masses. The sequel, Ta-Dah (2006), another huge UK hit and their first entry into the US Billboard Top 20, included I Don't Feel Like Dancin'number 1 single in a dozen countries from Argentina to Australia, She's My Man, Land Of A Thousand Words e I Can't Decideused masterfully in a memorable episode of the British sci-fi TV series Dr Who.
After a break of four years, their third album was released, Night Work (2010), but this pause did not affect their popularity: the record, conceived as a virtual club consolidated by super danceable hits such as Any Which Way e Sex And ViolenceIt entered the Top 20 in the US and reached number two in the UK.
And now the best pop band in the world makes its comeback with a fourth album, 'Magic Hour', which presents itself as an absolutely diverse work, as is their style.

The charge and emotion that their songs unleash takes on even more colour on stage, where the New York band consistently performs at a very high level, both technically and scenically. Their last time in Italy was in the summer of 2007 when they played the stages of Rome and Florence, while in Milan they have been missing since the spring of that year, when they sold out at Alcatraz.
