SURPRISE, MISTONOCIVO DRESSES IN ACOUSTICS

Vicenza band lands Tuesday 1 February at La Casa 139 of Via Ripamonti, Milan, proposing a reinterpretation in acoustic key of the two records released so far, Virus (2002) and Edgar (2004). Imagining the band from Vicenza 'without a plug' is an arduous task, after almost five years of hard and deviant sounds. If we then think of a band accustomed to playing together with Korn e Audioslave, the concert at La Casa 139 (as part of the Acoustically) takes on the connotations of an evening that will leave old fans of the band pleasantly surprised, and will certainly captivate those who have not yet approached the band's music. During the concert, there will also be an opportunity for a duet with the young The Aura, in the track 'In a photo' contained in the latest work.

A story that of Mistonocivo, born in Vicenza in 1996 by five young boys with rock'n roll in their veins. A story that always and constantly plays live for the quintet, driven by the desire to emerge from a narrow province and offer themselves to an ever larger audience. That is why, from the very beginning, not a single concert proposal was refused, even a dingy basement in front of ten half-drunk people would have been a test for the band, to continue to stay on that stage, to continue to vent their feelings, to continue to dream. And if one day you find yourself opening for the likes of Lenny Kravitz and Audioslave, then it means that so many years of apprenticeship, so many gigs, and so much sweat, have served to grow.

The band's first demo dates back to 1997, five raw and direct tracks that allowed Mistonocivo to get its name out in the local underground environment. Until one fine day the MXN acronym reached the ears of Corrado Rustici, a historic name in Italian music, who immediately put them on a plane to San Francisco. At the legendary Plant Studios in Sausalito, California, 'Plant Studios' was born.Virus"Misto's first album under the Flood Records/Virgin label. With the album finally finished, the group resumed its favourite passion: live performances. More than eighty concerts follow Virus. In those 90-minute shows, the audience is impressed by a sanguine band, absolutely at ease on stage, constantly seeking contact with the audience, who immediately feel the vibrations in Cristiano's warm and powerful voice, impressive charisma and energy, and perfect understanding with the other four musicians, which at times recalls the Faith No More or the first Pearl Jam. The tour continues, deliberately retracing the same route several times, returning to clubs already visited, increasing Mistonocivo's audience by word of mouth.

2004 is the year of "Edgar"the new album. Harder and more experimental sounds for an album almost entirely produced by Mistonocivo themselves, with the help of Enrique Gonzales Muller (sound engineer from the historic Plant studios in San Francisco already working with Deftones and Jason Newsted among others). The record is also the first product of the new Arte Nativa label. Mistonocivo's live adventure, an absolutely important step in the band's musical growth, continues throughout Italy, after the zero date at Alcatraz in Milan as a supporter at the Limp Bizkit concert. Their 2004 live calendar was also enriched by their participation in the Flippaut Rock Festival, at the Arena parco Nord in Bologna, together with Korn, Soulfly, Him, Ill Nino and Brides of Destruction. The band's last live appearance was last November, at the Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti in Faenza.
