Among the most virtuoso guitarists of our time, Steve Vai will be a real headliner in Italy next July: in addition to the three concerts with Satriani's G3, the guitarist will be in Italy for two more headlining dates with his Passion and Warfare 25th Anniversary Tour. Appointments are set for Wednesday 6 July at the Vittoriale Amphitheatre in Gardone Riviera (BS) as part of the Tener-a-mind Festival e Thursday 7 July at Udine Castle. I tickets for both concerts will be available from 11 a.m. Wednesday 20 April on the circuit Ticketone.
Passion and Warfare, considered one of the greatest rock guitar recordings of all time, is the landmark album of Steve Vai who, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album's release, decided to embark on a very special world tour. On every stop of this tour, Go will perform from top to bottom all the music of Passion and Warfare and also new compositions that will enrich an already great show. In the coming weeks, the Sony Music Entertainment and Legacy Recordings will announce the release of theedition celebrating the 25th anniversary of Passion and Warfarea special release that, in addition to the well-known tracks from the historic album, will also contain unreleased tracks.
Steve Vai is a musical alchemist of the highest order: while many musicians fit easily into a single category, his musical vision remains unique and unclassifiable. Virtuosity and versatility are two sides of the same coin for the guitarist: fans of all musical genres have been captivated throughout his career by his extraordinary guitar skills and his ability to use them to explore the broad spectrum of human emotions. He has toured every corner of the world, as a solo artist, as a member of the G3with Frank Zappa and also with bands such as the Alcatrazz, The David Lee Roth Band and Whitesnake. Go composed, produced and engineered all his solo albums and released them on his own record label, the Favoured Nations.
Throughout his career, Steve Vai reached staggering figures: 15 million discs sold, the victory of 3 Grammy Awards and 15 nominations. The release of his 16th solo album, The Story of Light of 2012 was accompanied by an epic tour with 253 dates in 52 countries. His latest release, the double CD/dvd Stillness In Motion - Go Live in L.A, kicked off its collaboration with the SONY/Legacy and, with the new tour on the horizon and the release of the celebratory edition of the 25th anniversary of its iconic album, Passion and Warfare2016 also promises to be Go as a year full of events.
