11 January 2013 The Black Crowes have announced fifteen concerts for the first part of the 'Lay Down with Number 13' 2013 World Tourall sold out immediately.
Today the Robinson brothers' band (pictured) announces the second part, which will start on 17 May and will will touch down in Italy on 3 and 4 July respectively at DGS at Castello di Vigevano and at Pistoia Blues.
After various concerts all over the world, from London to New York, passing through the most important cities in the United States such as Washington, Boston and Atlanta, The Black Crowes have chosen to return to Italy as well, two years after the concert that set Vigevano Castle ablaze, in the second edition of DGS.
Chris Robinson (vocals), Rich Robinson (guitar), Steve Gorman (drums), Sven Pipien (bass), Adam MacDougall (guitar and vocals) and newcomer Jackie Green on guitar will hold a tour in which they will draw from their repertoire, varying the setlist night after night: no concert will be like the previous one.
The Black Crowes will release the live album on 19 March 'Wiser For The Time'also available in a juicy vinyl edition with no less than four discs, for a total of twenty-six songs, fifteen of which are acoustic and eleven electric.
The first part of the 'Lay Down With Number 13' Tour will start on 24 March from Manchester and land in the States on 2 April, ending in New Orleans on 4 May.
