Monday 9 July is an epic, happily 'gothic' and certainly unique date at Rock In Roma. Before The Cure kick off their eagerly awaited concert, four artists who are particularly welcome to fans of Robert Smith's band will take the stage at the Ippodromo Le Capannelle.
The ice will be melted by Denimor, the Italian band that won the 2011 "Edison, Change The Music" contest and already has a good following abroad thanks to their strong theatrical rock. After them will be Paolo Benvegnù, former voice of Scisma, introspective poetics and songs that stick to the heart. Then The Cranes, the English band led by Alison Shaw's spellbinding, sing-songy voice, which since the late 1980s has become a reference point for alternative rock with its gothic minimalism. Finally, Crystal Castles, the Canadian electropop duo consisting of singer Alice Glass and multi-instrumentalist Ethan Kath, who have become known for their dense and energetic sets at many festivals such as Coachella, Oxegen and on tour with Nine Inch Nails.
Four artists certainly set the mood for the Cure concert, namely Robert Smith (vocals and guitar), Simon Gallup (bass), Jason Cooper (drums) and Roger O'Donnell (keyboards), the absolute stars of what is without fear of contradiction one of the most eagerly awaited events of the summer of festivals.
The last tickets will also be available at Rock in Roma on the day of the concert, as well as on the Ticketone, LisTicket, Go2, Vivaticket, Greenticket, Box Office, Ticket.it, Bookingshow Teleart and Barley Arts circuits.
