THE GAME, THE WEST COAST RAPPER IN ITALY FOR TWO DATES

The GameThe rap star returns to Italy for two dates: Friday 5 December 2014 at the Atlantico in Rome and Saturday 6 December at the Fabrique in Milan.

Jayceon Terrell TaylorThe Game is considered one of the key players in the new wave of the West Coast hip hop scene. He grew up in Compton, the troubled Californian city that was the birthplace of gangsta rap, and has had a very turbulent life since childhood, starting with foster care and ending with his affiliation with the Bloods, one of the city's gangs.

In 2001, 22-year-old Taylor was seriously injured in a shooting and took advantage of his forced rest period to study hip hop classics in depth. The following year, his first self-produced mixtape, "You Know What It Is Vol. 1"The Game's first studio album, 'The Game', ended up in the hands of Sean Combs (better known as Puff Daddy) and then Dr. Dre, who signed him to his Aftermath Entertainment label and put him in the G-Unit with 50 Cent. After some featuring on the work of his labelmates, The Game released his first real studio album, "The Documentary"(Aftermath Entertainment/G-Unit Records/Interscope Records, 2005) featuring various hip hop acts such as Kanye West, Timbaland, 50 Cent, Eminem and Dr. Dre himself. The album debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200, went double platinum and sold over five million copies worldwide. The next eight albums confirmed the rapper's success, and he continues to enjoy wide critical and public acclaim.

The Game's latest effort is "Blood Moon: Year Of The Wolf"(Blood Money Entertainment/eOne Music), released on 14 October on the rapper's own label, Blood Money Entertainment. The album comes just a few months before the highly anticipated follow-up to his debut album, 'The Documentary 2', due for release in January 2015.
