THE MAGPIE SALUTE: British band Maker will be the support band

The British Maker will be the band performing before them on the Live Music Club stage. Their music has been described by Classic Rock Magazine as a "Noisy rock'n'roll always freewheeling". The band consists of four elements, musicians originally from Kent, a county south-east of London, and their sound mixes elements of psychedelic rock at blueswith a pinch of soul. The bands that influenced their music are the first legendary blues bands, but the Maker They also claim to have been inspired by pop, soul and R&B musicians from the 1960s, and even early punk bands.

About the headliner, the Magpie Health released their debut studio album last summer, High Water I. The band, consisting of Rich RobinsonMarc FordJohn HoggSven PipienMatt Slocum e Joe Magistrolaunched the album with the first single Send Me An Omen, a song that according to Robinson best demonstrates the alchemy created by all elements of the band: "Pure Rock 'n Roll juxtaposed with pop melodies sung with a melancholy that creates a beautiful balance of surreal light and shadow."

Produced by Rich Robinson and recorded at Dark Horse Studios in Nashville, Texas, High Water I consists of 12 tracks that represent a musical union of reckless psychedelic rock'n'roll blues combined with the magic of campfire tales. The project took off in 2016, when Robinson asked former bandmates to join him for a series of concerts at Woodstock. They liked the initiative and it was followed later by three concerts at the Gramercy Theatre by New Yorkto which they later added a fourth to meet the great demand of the fans.

By the end of 2018, the band will total 77 shows worldwide, whose setlists include original material, songs from the Black Crowesand an extensive repertoire of covers. Positive reviews are pouring in, including those from Guitar World, Relix and many others, while Rolling Stone calls them 'Explosives'.

A second studio album, High Water IIwill be published in 2019, and during the summer the Magpie Health will be engaged in a series of headlining concerts and festival appearances together with Gov't Mule, The Avett Brothers e Blackberry Smoke.
