In compliance with the Prime Ministerial Decree issued on Wednesday 4 March suspending all scheduled performances until 3 April 2020, the concert of the The Sisters of Mercy scheduled for Thursday 26 March at Alcatraz in Milan è adjourned a Wednesday 16 September at the same venue. Tickets already issued are valid for the new datewhile the new ones will be available on the Ticketone, Ticketmaster e Vivaticket from 10am on Friday 13 March.
The good news for fans does not end: the English gothic band adds a new date at the Orion Club in Ciampino (RM) on Tuesday 15 September. Also for this concert, the tickets will be available from Friday at Ticketone.
The Sisters Of Mercy formed in 1980 in Leeds, England, taking their name from the Sisters of Mercy (sisters of mercy), the prostitutes in the song of the same name by Leonard Cohen: "We liked the ambiguity between the original meaning of the expression, which referred to an order of nuns, and that adopted by Cohen". explains the singer Andrew Eldritch. The disturbing soul of their music, which constitutes a fundamental page of the dark-rock e post-punk. Indeed, from the very first years of their career, the group established itself in the dark Olympus alongside bands such as Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Cure, Bauhaus e Joy Division. The shaman voice of darkness of Eldritch remains, along with those of Peter Murphy e Siouxsie Siouxamong the most exciting in the entire Gothic genre.
