After a career spanning over forty-five years, the Stranglers will continue their latest triumphant tour in Europe to honour the memory of keyboard player and founding member Dave Greenfieldwho died last May due to complications from COVID. The tour will touch down in Italy for two stops: Saturday 20 November 2021 at Estragon in Bologna e Sunday 21 November at Live Club in Trezzo sull'Adda (MI). I tickets will be available on the circuits Ticketmaster, Ticketone e Vivaticket from 10 a.m. on Wednesday 27 January. Be wary of unofficial sales channels!
The band's first albums - Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes e Black and Whitepublished over a period of thirteen months - quickly won over the public and decreed the success of the Stranglers thanks to punk anthems Something Better Change, No More Heroes e Peaches and the UK tour openings of Ramones e Patti Smith. In the following years, the band decided to move away from the more orthodox wing and towards a more melodic and less aggressive sound, resulting in a discography that counts 17 studio albums despite several line-up changes.
Before the departure of GreenfieldThe band was working on the recording of an as yet untitled new album, which will soon be released in memory of their lost friend.
