The band Scottish indie rock of The Twilight Sad will be in Italy this autumn with an unmissable event for lovers of the genre. Saturday 2 November at Menagerie by Milan. Tickets will be available from from 10 a.m. on Friday 26 April on circuits Vivaticket e Ticketone (online and point of sale) and to access the concert you will need to the ACSI membership card.
The band was formed in the early 2000s, when a group of friends decided to make music together after school, out of sheer passion for it. The founders, James Graham e Andy MacFarlanevocalist and guitarist respectively, have always been the heart of this band, which over the years has grown to incredible heights. I The Twilight Sad have in recent years been one of the backing groups of the The Cureperhaps one of those that the band from Robert Smith preferred more, so much so that Smith himself said of them: "If the world were a better place, they would play in front of huge audiences. And I'm sure one day they will!"
The Twilight Sad have to their credit five EPs and as many studio albumthe last of which, It Won't Be Like This All The Time (Rock Action, 2019), was published on 18 January and immediately took first place in the Scottish Albums Chart and seventeenth in the rankings of the best albums of United Kingdom. This latest record is a true and honest work, which the band themselves have described as the most raw, important and necessary for themselves, but also exciting for the listener, made up of songs that dig deep and know how to connect the performer to the listener.
This album comes five years after the previous one and the reasons why the band waited so long are many. "When you have something to compare with and you want to beat your old limits at all costs, it's hard to cross a new line." James, the singer of the band, said. "At the same time you want to be true to your style and destroy it to create something else, you don't know anymore whether to be realistic or not. One thing I'm sure of, it was hard to get here and I couldn't be more proud of this record and my band."
