Over the last few months, we have seen him twice in Milan, where he performed on the stages of Factory and Magazzini Generali, winning over the large audience present with his charisma, energy and the enthralling melodies of the tracks from his first album “Long way Down" (Sony Music). Tom Odell, the young singer-songwriter, born in 1990 and considered one of the most promising artists on the British pop-rock scene, returns to our country for a date in Rome, on 30 June at the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
Faithful to a line of songwriters starting from Bob Dylan, Nick Drake e Leonard Cohen, passes through David Bowie and Elton John and reaches up to contemporaries and contemporaries Ben Howard e Jack Buggthe young composer from the English province was honoured with a series of awards, from 10 million YouTube views of the single "Another Love" (http://youtu.be/MwpMEbgC7DA) to the Brit Critics' Awardobtained thanks to the EP 'Songs from Another Love"(2012), up to the debut at #1 in the UK of its first full-length, "Long Way Down".
But it is in the live dimension that the performer talent of Tom Odell fully unfolds, proving that the singer-songwriter lives up to the reputation that has been built up around his persona. Seated at the piano and accompanied by a tight-knit band, Tom is able to engage the audience with impressive performances, in which his ballads balanced between pop, rock and blues acquire greater intensity and power.
