Back JOHN MAYALL & The Bluesbreakersafter four years of absence from Italian stages, for five concerts from 14 to 19 July. The tour opening will be at Pistoia Blues Festivaland therefore the ideal setting for the world's only everlasting bluesman, who, at the age of 74, still demonstrates unparalleled passion and talent.
His new album will also be released soon IN THE PALACE OF THE KING (due 16 April, distributed by EDEL), less than two years after its predecessor ROAD DOGS and 3 from the double live CD and DVD JOHN MAYALL & THE BLUESBREAKERS AND FRIENDS -70TH Birthday Anniversary Concert of 2003: a curious and grandiose present that Mayall gave himself for his 70th birthday, when in Liverpool he brought together in a tribute concert many of the musicians who had been part of his Bluesbreakers over the years, such as Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, Petre Greento name but a few. In the meantime, however, JOHN MAYALL has not stopped, and in addition to his studio albums he has continued a relentless live activity with something like 200 concerts a year, always accompanied by the trusty Bluesbreakers the same since 1985 (the guitarist Buddy Whittington, the drummer Joe Yuelethe bass player Hank Van Sickle).
