Troy Andrews, aka Trombone Shortyhe will be in Italy with his band, the Orleans Avenueto present tracks from his latest record project, Parking Lot Symphony. The album runs through 12 tracks that, in total coherence with the title, present different sounds and echoes, from brass band swing to funk, from the beauty of the blues to the swagger of hip hop. As Andrews recalls "music brings unity".so any kind of gender-based constraint is excluded. Parking Lot Symphony is the first album by Trombone Shorty number plate Blue Note Records and was produced by Chris Seefried.
Parking Lot Symphonycomes four years after the release of Say That To Say Thisthe album produced by Raphael Saadiq. During this long period, however Trombone Shorty and its Orleans Avenue Andrews has performed five times at the White House, supported a number of national Macklemore e Madonna at the Grammys, opened the tours of Daryl Hall& John Oates and the Red Hot Chili Peppersappeared in the series of Sonic Highways. Andrews also produced Trombone Shorty, a children's book that was a huge success.
The Italian concert of Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will be introduced by a DJ set by Nick Recordkicks. Founder of the Record Kicks record label in Milan, Nick feels the black groove coursing through his veins, with a focus on the contemporary funk scene.
