INJURY POSTPONES ENTIRE DAVID SYLVIAN EUROPEAN TOUR

'It is with deep sadness that we are forced to inform you that David Sylvian will not be able to support the European tour planned for March and April 2012'. So writes the management of the artist, who is expected in Italy for his debut dates on 1 March in Padua, 2 in Milan, 4 in Rome and 5 in Bologna.

David Sylvian has suffered a back injury that is causing severe pain and substantially limiting his mobility, to the point that it is currently unthinkable that he will be able to travel or perform in any way. While waiting for the treatment he is undergoing to have the desired effect, the only option is to cancel the entire 'Implausible Beauty 2012' tour, with a promise to reschedule it as soon as possible.

David Sylvian himself sent a note to fans via his official website davidsylvian.comThis is not the message I ever wanted to write. Unless my memory serves me wrong, I have never in my entire life had to withdraw completely from the commitment of a tour. Everyone involved has showered me with generous and loving messages, wishing me well soon, which to me is a testament to how wonderful the people I work with are. My sincerest apologies and infinite gratitude also go to those who had bought tickets for the concerts, it seems there are many more of you than I could have imagined. I am currently undergoing tests and treatment, and if all goes well, I hope to be able to announce as soon as possible that the tour will be rescheduled within the next few months of 2012. If there is a positive aspect to this story, it is that, with more time to prepare, the show will eventually be great. I hope to see you all soon, until then... love and gratitude to you all. David"

Those who purchased tickets in advance can reuse them for the new dates, which will be announced shortly, or alternatively request a refund at the sales points that issued them no later than 30 March 2012.
