A NEW ALBUM AND SUMMER TOUR FOR DEEP PURPLE

There is much anticipation for Deep Purple's new album, the first in eight years since the release of the highly successful 'Rapture of the Deep'. The recording of the new work led the band to shut themselves away in the studio for most of this year, which also led to the painful decision to forgo the 2012 summer tour.
Now, after two years of absence from the stages, the five monsters of English rock announce their return live with three dates in Italy as part of a world tour: they will be on Sunday 21 July at Dieci Giorni Suonati AROUND MILANO, then on the 22nd at Rock in Roma and on Wednesday 24 at the Majano Festival (Udine).
The title of the new album has not yet been revealed, but statements by singer Ian Gillan and guitarist Steve Morse (who has already graced the stage in Vigevano during the last edition of Dieci Giorni Suonati with G3) suggest an album that will leave its mark. Morse himself hints that it could be one of the band's very last in the studio. The eight years that separate it from the acclaimed 'Rapture of the Deep' have allowed the British line-up to draw on a wealth of material written in that time. It is therefore legitimate to expect a work worthy of the best Deep Purple.
Deep Purple are: Ian Gillan (vocals), Steve Morse (guitar), Roger Glover (bass), Don Airey (keyboards) and founder Ian Paice (drums).
