There will only be three European dates for the Hall of Fame GREGG ALLMANthe charismatic leader of one of the most important bands in American rock: the singer-keyboardist chooses Italy as the only European destination of his tour, three dates long awaited by numerous Italian fans. In his 30 years of honourable artistic history there is not only the experience with the ALLMAN BROTHERS but also a brilliant solo career with six albums to its credit, from the first 'Laid Back' realised in 1973 until the last Searching For Simplicity in '97, considered by many critics to be Gregg's most mature and successful work.
He arrives in Italy with a band of great technical depth to perform a set-list that retraces the most significant episodes of the ALLMAN BROTHERS period, songs that made American rock history such as 'Midnight Rider', 'Whipping Post', 'Melissa' and 'Statesboro'without neglecting his solo production, which is full of pearls. BRUCE KATZ (keyboards), JERRY JEMMOTT (bass), STEVE POTTS (drums), MARK McGEE (guitars), JAY COLLINS (sax) and FLOYD MILES (percussion) accompany GREGG ALLMAN on stage for the duration of the tour, including the three Italian dates.
