Fresh from the publication of their "The Greatest Hits On Earth" - released in December 2011 - Deathstars represent one of the most interesting realities to emerge from the gothic-metal scene of the third millennium.
Industrial metal is undoubtedly their genre, halfway between the gothic of Rammstein and the industrial rock of Marylin Manson, with dark atmospheres aimed at creating a dark imagery.
The Deathstars, currently consisting of Andreas 'Whiplasher Bernadotte' Bergh (voice), Emil 'Nightmare Industries' Nödtveidt (guitar and keyboards), Oscar 'Vice' Leander (battery), Jonas 'Skinny' Kangur (bass and backing vocals) and Eric 'Cat Casino' Bäckman (guitar) - members from Dissection and the Swordmaster - released their first album in 2002 'Synthetic Generation"for the Led Records (Sweden), followed by "Termination Bliss' in 2006 and 'Electric Night"in 2009.
In June 2007 they won the Best Newcomer at Hammer Golden Gods Awardsevent organised by the magazine Metal Hammer. In 2006 they supported the Cradle of Filth on their European tour; in 2008 the Kom.
They are currently official supporters of the Germans Rammstein on their 'Made In Germany 2011 European Tour'.
In March, on the Rock Planet stage in Pinarella di Cervia, we will listen again to tracks from their greatest hits and at the opening of the concert, the latest album by Swedish band Marionette, 'Nerve".
