Among the most performed musical shows in the world, WE WILL ROCK YOU, written by Ben Elton together with Roger Taylor e Brian MaySince its debut in London in 2002, it has amassed some 6 million spectators in 4600 performances over 12 consecutive years. In 2023, this incredible rock show returned to Italy with a new production, produced by Claudio Trotta for Barley Arts e directed by Michaela Berlini. After the extraordinary success of the first part of the tour that started in January 2023 (35,000 admissions for 30 performances in major Italian cities) and in light of the great demand, the Italian production of the show now announces new replicas starting in the autumn of 2023 and for 2024 in some major Italian cities.
The first dates to which many more will be added are: Parma (4 December 2023, Teatro Regio); Rome(15 to 17 December 2023, Teatro Olimpico); Ancona(20 January 2024, Teatro Delle Muse); Milan (1 to 11 February 2024, CheBanca! National Theatre).
Interpreting this great love story of Music and Freedom will be an extraordinary and partly renewed cast that will continue to inflame to the beat of rock entire audiences, animated by young and old, telling of Hope for a better future, of the commitment and sacrifice needed to change a destiny that seems already written, and of the saving power of Rock and Roll. As always, the rhythm of the narration will be driven by the Queen's greatest hits sung in the original language live and played strictly live by a band of six musicians, for over two and a half hours of entertainment.
