Nine years after its debut in 2009, WE WILL ROCK YOU is finally ready to return to the Italian scene with a new and completely original production both in the direction (by Tim Luscombe) and in the set design and choreography, as well as in the cast and musicians of course.
The tour of the musical will start in October 2018.
Giving voice to Queen's greatest hits (from Radio Ga-Ga, a Bohemian Rhapsody) will be a new Galileo and a new Scaramouche, new Khashoggi, Britney, Oz, Pop, and more. Auditions to select the new castincluding the musicians and dance troupe, will officially start Wednesday 16 May 2018 in Milan. Over 4600 performances, a total of 6 million spectators: these are the numbers of WE WILL ROCK YOU, the musical designed by the same QUEEN, Brian May and Roger Taylor, along with writer Ben Elton, who for over 12 years dominated the programme at London's Dominion Theatre, the West End theatre housing the famous golden statue of Freddie Mercury.
A success that has been renewed from season to season, not failing to bear fruit in Italy as well. For some time now, thanks mainly to the work of Barley Arts, the relationship between Queen and our country has become increasingly close, something more than just an opportunity to play sporadic performances. A vital relationship, which will be renewed in summer 2018: Queen, in fact, together with Adam Lambert, will play again in Italyfor a unique live event next 25 June, at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago.
