WOLFMOTHER ARE READY FOR ITALY... AND FOR THE MAGIC CASTLE

TUESDAY 10 JULY - VIGEVANO CASTLE (+ Bud Spencer Blues Explosion)
WEDNESDAY 11 JULY - PIAZZOLA SUL BRENTA (PD) - VILLA CONTARINI (+ The Answer)
THURSDAY 12 JULY - ROME - ATLANTICO LIVE (+ The Answer)

She lights go out, the crowd screams, the drummer "gives the four" and a wall of sound crashes down on the fans. It's the secret of hard rock and no one can do it better than them. After the sold out show at Live in Trezzo a year ago, Wolfmother are coming back to Italy, from 10 to 12 July, respectively in Vigevano with Bud Spencer Blues Explosion as opening act, in Padua (Villa Contarini) and Rome (Atlantico Live), where they will be preceded on both occasions by The Answer.

After opening for Lenny Kravitz (also touring Italy from 16-19 July) last spring, curly-haired bandleader Andrew Stockdale's band is currently travelling the world with a headlining tour, as well as several festival appearances.
Wolfmother's name is added to the already rich programme of the festival conceived and produced by Barley Arts, "10 Giorni Suonati al Castello di Vigevano", which, this year, has already seen performances by Lynyrd Skynyrd and Incubus and awaits Garbage (11 July), Paul Weller (12), Ben Harper & His band (18), Lenny Kravitz (19), G3 with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Steve Morse (22), James Morrison (23) and Mika (24).

Wolfmother's date on 7 June 2011 at Live in Trezzo was proof that hard rock is still alive. If the Black Crowes were considered Led Zeppelin's heirs in the 90s, they are the heirs of the 2000s. Stockdale's voice and the seventies, stoner and psychedelic sound of their songs is a beautiful flashback to the best age of rock, which comes alive through the compositional talent of this Australian band, which repaints the past with new sonic life.
With two million copies sold in the last five years, thanks to their eponymous debut and the subsequent "Cosmic Egg", Wolfmother are definitely one of the most successful rock bands of the new generation. In 2007 they won the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Song ("Woman") and the Brit Award for Best New Artist. A new album is expected in the coming months.
Wolfmother's current line-up consists of leader Andrew Stockdale (vocals and guitar), guitarist Aidan Nemeth, bassist and keyboardist Ian Peres and drummer Dave Atkins.
