Australian folk multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd together with his new band The United Nations arrives in Italy to present his latest album 'Nanna', out on 23 March and anticipated by the single 'Come People'. There will be three Italian dates: Tuesday 7 July 2015 at Villa Ada in Rome, Wednesday 8 July at the Mojotic Festival in Sestri Levante (GE) and Thursday 9 July at Carroponte in Sesto San Giovanni (MI). Tickets for the three concerts are available on the circuit Ticketone and soon in shops Vivaticket.
Xavier Rudd & The United Nations brings together musicians from all corners of the globe to represent the diverse cultures of Australia, Aboriginal peoples, South Africa, Samoa, Germany and Papua New Guinea. The band's message is simple: all the peoples of the world can come together and find their own spirit, drawing on ancient cultures and protecting the Earth and the essence of creation. And, as always, Xavier Rudd's music is as striking as its message.
Rudd's eighth album, 'Nanna" is the follow-up to "Spirit Bird" (2012) which, propelled by the hit "Follow The Sun" (platinum in Italy), debuted at #2 on the ARIA chart and took Xavier around the world on his longest tour to date. This new chapter in his career will put Rudd back on the road in the unprecedented role of fronting an ensemble with some of the world's best musicians.
