After the long tour that took him around our country last year, Xavier Rudd makes his return by announcing five summer appointments all over the boot, including a first date in the South and a special afternoon date at high altitude in Umbria.

I tickets for all concerts will be on sale from 10 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday 6 March, on Ticketone (Milan, Sogliano al Rubicone, Livorno, Valico di Castelluccio di Norcia), Ticketmaster (Milan and Livorno), ETES (Naples) and TicketItalia(Valico di Castelluccio di Norcia).
The Umbrian concert will take place in the afternoon of Saturday 10 August, starting at 6 p.m.in the wonderful setting of the Monti Sibillini Park. It will be necessary to reach one of the parking areas by car - access will be allowed only to those who already have a ticket for the show - and then continue on foot for a short trek (between thirty and fifty minutes). The show will take place in a green area and the public will be able to spread out their tents and take their seats on the lawn. All details can be found on the event website SuoniControvento.it.
Xavier Rudd has recently announced the release of the EP Freedom Sessions scheduled for 29 March on label Salt.X Records/Virgin Music Group. The new work is preceded by the release of the first single in two parts, World Order.
Speaking of this new effort, Xavier Rudd states 'This is my first EP in twenty-five years, Freedom Sessions was born during a particularly memorable time... it is a celebration of the blessing of 'freedom', a simple state of being in which we should all have the right to exist. World Order is an adventure that explores the two parts of yin and yang that are in everything and often manifest within us. As a sensitive species on the planet that has drifted away from its original form and lost its connection to it, we are all searching for the way to a place of complete inner peace. Because of the world order that has ruled the planet and its peoples over the centuries, we are dealing with a series of generational traumas and conditioning that permeate our hearts and minds. Such is life... some days we have to climb uphill with a heavy load on us, other days we feel like we can take flight."
