11/2/10: THIEVERY CORPORATION: THE GROOVE IS BACK

I THIEVERY COROPRATION back on tour! The date in Italy is set for 27 and 28 May 2010 in Rome and Trezzo d'Adda, in the province of Milan. Rob Garza and Eric Hilton, the two masterminds of the project born in the mid-1990s, revive the soft-electronic collective after last year's release of the sixth album of their career, entitled 'Radio Retaliation'. The Washington DC sound continues to spread through this multifaceted reality of the American independent scene. The pride of being part of the underground scene and the desire to make art freely, far from the dogmas and impositions of the multinationals, are the focal point of their latest record, which once again delivers a stunning mix of ethnic, electronic and funky music.

The evolution of Thievery Corporation from their 1997 debut to the present day is as evident as ever: from the addictive remixes of the beginning of their career, we have arrived at genuine compositions that contribute to making their live performances even more interesting and complete. "The Richest man in Babylon' is considered the crossroads album of the trip-hop scene and remains one of the genre's most successful works to this day, having climbed the charts halfway around the world.

Their last time in Italy was in July 2005, when they came for five dates in Bologna, Naples, Rome, Milan and Udine.
