20/03/09: LET THERE BE ROCK

The first of the two Milanese evenings of the Black Ice Tour of AC/DCAccording to many it was the Australian band's best show in our country, two hours of pure rock, two hours of energy, sweat and fun.
The Forum is already packed at 8 p.m., when the The AnswerA young Irish band with a Seventies matrix, who succeeded in the not easy task of entertaining an audience eagerly awaiting their favourites: a great performance with excellent songs, the same ones that earned them compliments from rock giants such as Jimmy Page and the Young brothers.
At 9 p.m. the lights go out and the screams of the 11,000 people who managed to buy tickets in those famous 50 minutes after the opening of sales rise inside the Forum: a cartoon introduces the show, with the usual sarcasm that accompanies the AC/DC. Angus is a prisoner on the Rock & Roll Train launched at full speed but manages to break free and appear on stage with his famous goose step. Thus began the concert, with the lead single from the band's latest studio album, thanks to which they topped all the sales charts in 2008.
Behind the five musicians stretches a mammoth stage that, in addition to the train, features all the distinctive elements of AC/DC's history: the Hell's Bellsmarshals and cannons for the finale of For Those About to Rockwhile a gigantic woman takes shape during Whole fight Rosie. Five tracks from the latest album are included among timeless classics, from Back in Black a Dirty Deeds... until Thunderstruck.
Great test of Brian Johnsonboth as a singer and as a front man, while Anguswith a striptease on The Jackhe maintains the madness that has always characterised him: the band's iconic guitarist turns into Satan on Let there be rockfor an unmitigated solo, complete with a pinwheel on the ground.
Finale with Highway to Hell e For Those about to Rock (We salute you).
Rarely does one witness such collective participation and joy as that found on Thursday 19 March 2009 within the Forum, testifying to what today more than ever the AC/DC represent for the people.
Repeats tomorrow, Saturday 21... tickets obviously sold out.
