30/11/09: AN EVENING WITH LYLE LOVETT & JOHN HIATT - ONLY DATE IN ITALY ON 2 FEBRUARY

For LYLE LOVETT it will be the first time in Italy. He arrives together with JOHN HIATT for one and only date in our country at the Conservatorio di Milano, on 2 February.. It will be an acoustic concert during which the two American songwriters will share the stage, alternating the songs of one with those of the other.

So let's get ready for a set composed of songs that are part of the history of American songwriting, with two of the greatest songwriters and performers of our time, such as John Hiatt and Lyle Lovett, able to fish from the vast ocean of American ROOTS MUSIC in their compositions.

JOHN HIATT, who over the course of his now 30-year career has written songs that have been performed by Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, BB King and Iggy Pop, released his latest album 'Same old man' in 2008. He made his debut as a soloist in 1974 with 'Hangin' around the Observatory', while in 1987 he signed his masterpiece 'Bring the Family', also showcasing his great skills as a guitarist.

LYLE LOVETT, on the other hand, is an American icon: with her provocative and edgy lyrics, she has also made people talk about her over the years for non-musical reasons. Her solo career started in 1986 with her self-titled debut and branched out over the next twenty years through different genres: swing, jazz, country, rock and even gospel.

In September of this year, he released 'Natural Forces', an album that above all exalts his skills as a great performer, as well as marking his return with the legendary Large Band: stand out versions of Eric Taylor's 'Whooping Crane' and Towens Van Zandt's 'Loretta', in which the singer confirms himself as one of the most distinctive voices on the scene.

The tour that Lovett and Hyatt decided to undertake represents one of the most significant moments for singer-songwriter music in the last two decades.
