Xavier Rudd is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with acquired Canadian citizenship, of the folk genre. Xavier Rudd is a one-man band and usually plays surrounded by a variety of intricately arranged musical instruments: three didgeridoos on a stand in front of him, a guitar on his lap, a stompbox at his feet and nearby, ready for use, a whole series of basses, banjos, harmonicas and drums. Many of Rudd's songs deal with socially engaged issues, such as environmentalism and Aboriginal rights, who often lend their voices in his songs. He has developed a solid reputation following several live shows, music festivals and numerous concerts in Australia and North America where his following is largest.
