John Butlerin view of the Australia's most successful independent musician, is the leader of the John Butler Trio, one of the most successful Australian ensembles on the current world music scene. The trio, acclaimed for brilliant live performances and superb musicianship, expanded in 2018 with the addition of two members in the form of John Butler Trio +.  John Butler released in 2018 with the trio his seventh studio album HOMEHe experimented with new sounds and different genres without ever betraying his trademark sound. The project was followed by a world tour, during which the artist performed in 152 livewith numerous sold-out performances. After the extraordinarily successful experience with the trio, the rock musician is now appearing on the scene as a soloist.
