I Black Crowes have decided to leave the bullshit in the past. Fifteen years after their last unreleased album, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastardstheir tenth studio album. Some might say that the project took several tumultuous years to complete, others that it comes at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or musical destiny that brought them together, the long-awaited record that consecrates the reunion of this legendary band could be just the thing that saves rock & roll. At a time when this art form is buried under the corporatist attitude of some of their successors, the Black Crowes they rebel with the anguish of unspoken words, written on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing a bare, stripped-down rock & roll. No glam, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at its best: gritty, loud and blunt. Since the Black Crowes reunited in 2019 performed in over 150 shows in 20 countries around the world to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Makerthe album that put them on the map. When they returned home, they knew they needed something new. The brothers Robinson and the long-time bassist Sven Pipien entered the studio with producer Jay Joyce early 2023 and the experiences of the past years were transformed into music as the band rediscovered its roots. The moment has finally arrived: Happiness Bastards will be released on 15 March 2024.
