DAVID SYLVIAN: THE LAST TOUR?

Many fans were surprised by the statement made a few days ago by the ex-Japanese, according to which the The World is everything Tour coming to Italy on Sunday 23 September, will be the last tour of his career. Precisely for this reason, the setlist he will present during the five stages set in our countrywill be as varied as ever and will place particular emphasis on his early solo work.

The title, 'The World Is Everyhing Tour', perfectly captures the Bath-based artist's current attitude towards his music. "This tour - says Sylvian is partly a means to put the various chapters of my artistic life behind me, to embrace them all and give them a sense of fulfilment."
In fact, from the first leaked rumours, it seems that David is preparing a summa concert of his career, which has already passed the 25-year mark. "It will be a very intimate show, not particularly experimental". continues Sylvian, who will be accompanied on stage by Steve Jansendrummer, brother and companion on all his musical paths since the days of the Japan in the early 1980s; Keith Lowebassist who is as at home with classical as he is with electronic music, funk and new jazz - in fact, he has collaborations ranging from Fiona Apple, a Bill Frisell e Wayne Horvitzand finally Takuma Watanabe (keyboards), another all-round musician, capable of ranging from pop to modern jazz. Together they made their debut on 7 September in Stockholm and will finish, after 28 concerts, on 30 October in Tokyo.
