BLACKBERRY SMOKE + Bones Owens - Milan

Among the most eagerly awaited and loved Southern line-ups in Italy, the Blackberry Smoke will return to Europe next year to present Be Right Here, the new album to be released on 16 February by 3 Legged Records e Thirty Tigers. L'single date planned in our country will be Wednesday 2 October 2024 at Alcatraz in Milan. I tickets for this unmissable event for fans of the genre will be available in preview for the fans of the band from 10 a.m. on Tuesday 10 October and on Ticketone e Ticketmaster from 10 a.m. on Friday 13 October.

The single preceding the release of Be Right Here, Dig A Holeis the first song written by Charlie Starr for the new album and is a powerful hymn to the importance of choosing one's path in life, whether one wants to give in to temptation or walk the straight and narrow. 'In life we all have to make choices. Will we do good or evil? Will we love or hate? Each of us has a finite amount of time on this earth, so we would probably want to make the best of it rather than waste it."

Dig A Hole is the main piece of Be Right Here and kicks off a great new set of rock'n'roll tunes by the Blackberry Smoke. As always, the band from Georgia - Charlie Starr (vocals and guitar), Paul Jackson (guitar and backing vocals), Richard Turner (bass and backing vocals), Brandon Still (keyboards) and Brit Turner (drums) - was inspired by Southern rock, classic rock tinged with blues and early vintage country. In Be Right Here However, the band sounds even more confident, both in terms of the power of the songwriting and the execution of the songs.

In the last 20 years the Blackberry Smoke have amassed a loyal fanbase that has taken the last five albums to the charts, including the 2021 album You Hear Georgia. The band had written it during one of the most intense periods of the pandemic, but had waited until they could go back on tour before releasing it. Starr stated that the training took the same approach at Be Right Herewhich took shape in late 2022 and early 2023, around the same time that the drummer Brit Turner was diagnosed with a type of brain tumour called glioblastoma. Today Turner continues to undergo treatment and remains an active and constant force within the band.

Working once again with Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, i Blackberry Smoke chiselled raw and immediate music, recording together and live in one space; a welcome approach to the same Cobband creates a more relaxed atmosphere. "I remember a few times I said 'We should do this one again' and he said 'No, leave it like that, it's magical'," he says. Starr. "It is as natural and real as possible."
