An unmissable evening is coming to Italy for fans of one of the music scenes that marked the late 1990s, the alternative scene that winked at nu metal: Sunday 3 November 2024 the Alien Ant Farm will take the stage at the Magazzini Generali Milan together with the CKY for a single Italian leg of their joint tour. I tickets for the show will be available on Ticketone e Ticketmaster from 9 a.m. on Thursday 2 May.
The Alien Ant Farm were born in Riverside in 1996 but exploded worldwide a few years later, when in 2001 they released the cover of Smooth Criminalaccompanied by a video tribute to Michael Jackson which teaches the scene how to make nu metal without always taking itself too seriously and ends up first at the top of the charts and then on the soundtrack of generational films such as Spider-Man e American Pie 2. Over the years, the line-up achieved a long series of goals: it went platinum with its second album ANThology (2001), collaborates with Robert e Dean De Leo of Stone Temple Pilots on the third studio work TruANT and participates in the soundtrack of several successful video games such as The Punisher e Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. The Alien Ant Farm are also very active in the live arena and over the years have played with a long list of artists who have made history: Korn, Deftones, System of a Down, Papa Roach, Soulfly and many others. Just a few days ago, the band released its sixth studio album, Mantras.
Made popular by their participation in various episodes of Jackass - the drummer of the line-up Jess is in fact the brother of the skate stunt star Bam Margera - i CKY this year they celebrate 25 years of their career and hope to do so with the Italian branch of the CKY Alliancetheir fierce fanbase. In 2002, the band signed with Island/Def Jam and public Infiltrate-Destroy-Rebuild which landed it in the US charts for the first time, followed by An Answer Can Be Found (2005) and then Carver City (2009) for the Roadrunner Records. The line-up is currently at work on a new album, Old Dogs New Tricks.
