A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, at the age of ten Alexis Ffrench won a scholarship for talented children and attended the Purcell School before transferring to the Guildhall School of Music. Even before his academic education, from the age of seven Alexis is the organist of his church in Bagshot, Surrey. He grew up in a house where Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye were often heard, Alexis He started writing his first pieces at the age of five, prompting his parents to give him a second-hand piano. His album Evolution, reached number 1 in the classical music charts and the pianist, composer and producer has achieved more than 100 million streams. Alexis He has played headliner at the Royal Albert Hall, composed music for advertising campaigns for Miyake, Hugo Boss and several films, collaborated with Paloma Faith and is part of Little Mix's management team. The mix of Kendrick Lamar and Bartok, Shostakovich and Ariana Grande is well represented in the weekly show of Alexis on Scala Radio, in which the composer illustrates the art of creating a song, be it pop or classical.

His latest work Truth (Sony Classical, 2022) is definitely the most powerful and political, but also the most optimistic that the pianist has ever published. "I imagined what the world could be like if everyone had the chance to ask themselves 'who am I?' e 'what is my purpose?' and what we, as a human race, could create and change together'. Truth photographs the hopes of Alexis in the future to her belief that a change is already underway, and she does so with the classically inspired sound that characterises her music and valuable collaborations that include that with her friend Leona Lewis at One Look.

"I am usually rather cautious about making any kind of political statement," explains the Britain's most successful composer of classical musicwhose tracks scored over half a billion streams - "but sometimes you have to raise your head and make yourself heard. Truth was born out of a very intense personal moment, and these songs are my reaction to what happened to me."
