The Norwegian rap duo Karpe consists of the audiovisual artists Chirag Rashmikant Patel e Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid. They are Norway's most popular artists, always raising the bar when it comes to audiovisual concepts, productions and record releases. In their career they have racked up a long string of hits and received several awards, hitting the front pages of Scandinavian newspapers with spectacular live shows and ambitious ideas. In 2022, they released their latest musical project, Omar Sheriff. A universe full of tributes and references to their background (Chirag is of Indian origin, Magdi is of Egyptian origin), present in the sound, in the lyrics and in all the visuals. The duo mixes together Norwegian and Arabic, Gujarati and English in a completely new way.
After the release of this acclaimed album, the duo started a collaboration with the Quick Stylethe legendary dance crew that went viral earlier this year thanks to the video Famous wedding showtheir most astonishing show ever, which led them to an impressive residency at the Spektrum Arena in Oslo: ten shows in one month, with 111,000 tickets sold, an absolute record for the venue.
Both the band and crew members are children of a generation of immigrants and refugees from all over the world who came to Norway to finally have a home. Now they have created together Omar Sheriffa multicultural project that wants to unite and create inclusion, as well as entertain with an infectious and unique energy, which they will now take on tour in Europe.
