The adventure of the TREVES BLUES BAND began in 1974 when a young harmonica player from Lambrate decided to set out on a 'mission impossible': to spread the values of the Blues, its history and its great performers. The harmonica player in question is FABIO TREVES, henceforth dubbed the "Puma di Lambrate", who has travelled the length and breadth of Italy and the world with his band and held high the flag of Italian BLUES. His concerts are a journey through the history of this music, from the earliest work songs to archaic country music, from electric Chicago blues to more modern blues.
FABIO TREVES has to his credit numerous collaborations with real blues legends with whom he has played throughout his career, such as Sunnyland Slim, Johnny Shines, Homesick James, Billy Branch, Dave Kelly, Paul Jones, Alexis Korner, Bob Margolin, Sam Lay, David Bromberg, Eddie Boyd and Mike Bloomfield. He has featured on his records and played live with Roy Rogers, Chuck Leavell, Willy DeVille, John Popper, Linda Gail Lewis, Warren Haynes and is the only Italian artist to have played on stage with the great genius Frank Zappa. The Puma has also lent his harmonica to many Italian artists, playing on their records. We mention some of them: Branduardi, Bertoli, Elio e le Storie tese, Finardi, Graziani, Shapiro, Baccini, Giorgio Conte, Ferradini, Cocciante...
In 2011, Treves realised his project of a new musical show 'Blues in Teatro': a step forward towards the popular diffusion of origin music, a bet won big and an unforgettable tour that brought almost 4000 people to theatres all over Italy, something that had never happened to a blues band before the happy intuition of the Puma di Lambrate.
In 2014, TBB celebrated its 40th anniversary with a highly successful theatre tour that racked up a series of enthusiastic sell-outs. The final concert of this historic '40 YEARS TOUR' was held at Milan's Auditorium in front of more than 1,000 spectators, a true musical event enhanced by the
participation of musicians who are friends of the Puma, such as Eugenio Finardi, Stef Burns, and the musicians of Elio e le Storie Tese,
who wanted to celebrate this historic milestone with him in front of an audience of fans in
On 7 December 2014, Fabio Treves was awarded the AMBROGINO D'ORO, an important honour of the City of Milan, and his photo was included by 'Rolling Stones' magazine in its February 2015 issue entitled 'The 100 Faces of Italian Music'.
In 2015, TBB was a supporter of Deep Purple on their Italian tour and in 2016 the band was an exceptional opening-act at Bruce Springsteen's concert at the Circo Massimo in Rome on 16 July.
Also in 2016, the reissue of "SUNDAY'S BLUES", recorded in 1988 with illustrious guests of the calibre of Chuck Leavell and Dave Kelly, was released for DeAgostini's "BLUES IN VINYL" series.
In 2018 Fabio was a guest of Supersonic Blues Machine sharing the stage and duetting with the legendary Billy F. Gibbons of ZZ TOP.
