I VOLBEAT have achieved an absolute level of popularity in their own country over the past two years, the Denmark. With the release of their second album, their success spread throughout Northern Europe, establishing the quartet as one of the fastest growing metal acts.
As early as 2005 with the release of the first studio work 'The Strength/The Sound/The Song' Volbeat had reached the Danish top 20, but it was with their performance at the Roskilde 2006 who became a real phenomenon. Their cross between metal and rockabilly is unique, the sound of bands such as Metallica and Motorhead mixes with that of Elvis and Johnny Cash.
In 2007 'Rock the rebel/Metal the Devil' and is immediately first place in the homeland.
Founded in 2001, after a few line-up changes, they have arrived at their current line-up with founder Micheal Poulsen on vocals and guitar, joined by Thomas Bredahl (guitar, the band's latest addition), Andrei Kjolholm (bass) and Jon Larsen (drums). With these very elements, VOLBEAT conquered the Music Award Danish in 2006 as authors of the best album.
