In addition to having participated in the multi-platinum soundtrack of 'Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers'., composed the hit 'Jungle Drum' and has four albums to his credit: the latest, 'Tookah'is from 2013.
During the same year, the other half of the project was formed in Belgium, The Colourist Orchestraan ensemble that reinterprets the repertoire of musicians of all genres and backgrounds recolouring it with a veritable rainbow of sounds. Fascinated by the work of the orchestra, she had invited her to collaborate on a series of concerts, Emiliana asked the founders Aarich Jespers e Kobe Proesmans to reinterpret 'Animal Games'.
"The Colorist & Emiliana Torrini". (Rough Trade/Self, 2016) testifies to the success of the experiment: a live album containing nine songs from the catalogue of Emiliana Torrini and two previously unreleased tracks resulting from the encounter between two realities so different yet so well blended in the result; the album will be released Friday 9 December.
