GIANLUCA GRIGNANI - Macerata

Gianluca Grignani, after the huge success of his guest appearance at last year's Sanremo Festival, announces today, on his 50th birthday, the release of his fifth single. In rotation from Friday 22 April 2022 entitled ALong Goodbye (Falco a metà/Sony Music Italia) which will become part of the trilogy/compset Emerald Green.

After the great response to the previous four singles: What do you know about me, Tell me what you have, I will not say your name, Good timesThe singer-songwriter, at the height of his creativity, is back with a new work, the result of a long gestation process, to which the artist has devoted meticulous attention to every detail.

A Long Goodbye is "a rock ballad that has been crafted with care, precision, with blues cues that are able to carry my rock - says the artist. in a very fierce and fast way on a different level than my previous ballads; written in fifteen minutes of suffering capitalised to the maximum".

In this song, the artist recounts the personal and emotional experience of separation.

The single, as judged by the author himself is: " an attempt to show how it is possible to make healthy, or rather insane, rock & blues and how 'insanely' these two genres can be combined, leaving behind the Italian stereotype but remaining equally Mediterranean.".

In order to arrive at this track, Gianluca Grignani spent many years in painstaking sound research, working with the people he liked most. The verse in English is deliberately left as follows: " because - Grignani himself reveals this - It was suggested to me by people close to me, who are capable, unlike me, of judging when one is more functional. Sometimes I am not able to judge.".

On a musical level, Grignani undertook a research journey that lasted more than five years, identifying what was right to produce musically. He went back to the sounds of The plastic factorymixing them with blues and rock, choosing the perfect musical contamination to express moods.

"Freedom is speaking to me now. Your reasons make less and less sense. Look it's clear to me too we're a long goodbye...", from this verse it is Gianluca Grignani himself who poses a question to his audience: " did it happen to you too? This song is dedicated to all those who...".

Grignani remains the artist par excellence capable of transmitting grit, determination, with power and courage.

Gianluca Grignani this summer he and his band will be performing in a LIVING ROCK AND ROLL TOUR 2022' electric tour which will see him starring in many well-known Italian locations.
