Barley Arts in collaboration with Us and Springsteen is pleased to announce the return of Italy of the Swedish Moa Holmsten. The former singer of the band metal Meldrum will be in concert Friday 24 January 2020 at Menagerie by Milan. Tickets are available on the circuits Vivaticket e Ticketone. To access the event will be ACSI membership required. The Milan date will be the perfect opportunity to hear the interpretation by Moa Holmsten of the timeless classics of Bruce Springsteen. The singer has in fact collaborated with Tony Naima for a special album of Springsteen covers entitled Bruised Arms & Broken Rhythm. The disc includes 14 tracks tracing the entire career of Springsteenfrom lesser-known pieces to his greatest hits, so as to cover the whole map of musical genres: from Dancing In the Dark to the evocative and melancholic sounds of Streets of Fire. Each piece is reworked in a new and personal key, yet respectful of the original. In this regard, the artist states: "We've always had a great respect for Bruce Springsteen, but I think the fact that we weren't long-time fans was crucial in launching us into this venture. We could discover new songs or rediscover older songs and work on them with a completely new perspective.". Moa Holmsten in recording the cover album, he wanted to carry out his own research to discover Bruce Springsteen without any external guidance: in fact, he likens it to the experience of falling in love, when you begin to get to know the person in front of you, their past, and you take your first steps towards the other in a somewhat awkward way. After the experience as front-woman of the Meldrum, Moa Holmsten has embarked on a solo career, demonstrating his creativity and originality by releasing two completely innovative and avant-garde albums. The first, Do You Want Me, Death?, was published in 2009while the tribute to Springsteen was published in 2015 and presented last August at the third Springsteen festival organised by the group Us & Bruce Springsteen - The ties that bind.
