Back from an incendiary show sold out in advance in Milan last October, The Hives return as headliners for a day entirely dedicated to them, THE HIVES DAY, a single summer date in the company of exceptional special guests: The Interruptersamong the most popular ska-punk bands of the last decade, and the Californians Scowl. The show, which rightfully enters the list of next summer's most anticipated shows, is set for Tuesday 25 June 2024 at the Sequoie Music Park in Bologna and it is already possible to purchase the nominal tickets on circuits Ticketone, Ticketmastere Boxerticket.
2023 was a particularly busy year for The Hives, engaged in a long world tour following the release of The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons, the first unreleased album in ten years that has topped the worldwide rock charts since its release. Referring to the new album, the frontman Howlin' Leather Almqvist declares: 'There is no maturity or anything like that, because who the fuck wants a rock'n'roll ripe? That's always where people go wrong, I think. 'It's like rock'n'roll but more adultNobody wants something like that, you take all the fun out of it! Rock'n'roll can't grow up, it's a perpetual adolescent and this album is exactly like that, it's all about our excitement - and you can't simulate that."
During the first ten years of their career, the Californians The Interrupters have made a name for themselves through their live power: driven by the energy of the frontwoman Aimee Interrupter and the tireless brothers Bivona - the guitarist Kevin and the twins Justin (bass) and Jesse (drums) - the line-up takes its cue from the 90s punk rock revival and 2 tone ska bands. Before founding The Interrupters, the brothers Bivona have collaborated both in the studio and on tour with Tim Armstrong in its Tim Timebomb and Friends. The legendary co-founder of the Rancid is mentor, producer and 'fifth honorary Interrupter', and has supported the band since its inception by releasing all albums on his label Hellcat Records.
The Scowl have quickly made a name for themselves as one of the most vibrant realities of the rock scene. Since the release of their debut album How Flowers Grow by the end of 2021, the band had become one to watch out for, thanks to an aggressive and down-to-earth hardcore punk that soon took them on tour all over the world.
