THE PSYCHEDELIC ROCK OF BLACK MOUNTAIN COMES TO MILAN

The only Italian date for the tenth anniversary of their eponymous debut album, four years after their last Italian tour, Canadian supergroup Black Mountain return to our country, Wednesday 17 June 2015 at the Circolo Magnolia in Segrate (MI). Tickets are on sale at Ticketone and points of sale Vivaticket.

Black Mountain was born from the ashes of Jerk With A Bond, which included leader Stephen McBean and Joshua Wells. The band soon developed into a full-fledged collective called Black Mountain Army, which also promoted parallel side-projects of the band members (e.g. McBean's own Pink Mountaintops). The band's first album was the self-titled 'Black Mountain' (Jagjaguwar, 2005), which surprised critics with its skilful blend of hard rock and psychedelia. In their second work 'In The Future' (Jagjaguwar, 2008), the band added elements of progressive rock and folk to their sound; the choice was rewarded, and the album was nominated for Best Alternative Album at the Juno Awards 2009. Their third work "Wilderness Heart" (Jagjaguwar, 2010) moves towards a greater revaluation of the American folk sound, always alongside their classic hard psychedelic sound.

Black Mountain are Stephen McBean (vocals and guitar), Amber Webber (voice), Jeremy Schmidt (keyboards), Jonny Olsin (bass, keyboards) and Joshua Wells (battery).
