John Butler Trio announces the third Italian date of the European tour to celebrate the release of the sixth studio album, 'Flesh & Blood". John Butler will be on 17 July in Merano (BZ), at the Gardens of Trauttsmandorf Castle, as part of the World Music Festival. Opening at the concert, the touring singer-songwriter will perform an acoustic set Stu Larsen.
The third date in Merano is in addition to the two already announced, scheduled respectively for 18 May in Bologna at Estragon (sold out)and for the 15 July in Sesto San Giovanni (MI) at Carroponte.
Almost four years have passed since the release of the last studio work, "April Uprising"a period during which the band led by John Butler has toured the world performing in front of ever-growing audiences, played a key role in campaigning for environmental causes in Australia, released 2 live albums ("Live at Red Rocks" e "Tin Shed Tales") and, most importantly, composed and recorded "Flesh & Blood"released on 7 February 2014.
The new drummer, percussionist and chorister Grant Gerathy recently joined the band that, in addition to founder John Butler (guitar, vocals), also includes Byron Luiters to the bass.
