"The Denial of Secondary Ticketing - From Artist to Consumer".

Thursday 26 January 2017 at the Sala Grande of the Franco Parenti Theatre in Milan the first international conference against secondary ticketingdesigned and produced by Barley Arts Promotion and which also includes the selected and qualified participation of international operators who have long been on the front line in the war against this cancer that has hit the entire international entertainment and sports industry hard.

The event is dedicated to the international system of speculative resale of tickets for live music and entertainment events on the secondary market, a phenomenon that has been present for several years in Italy as well, but which exploded with the general public last autumn with the now notorious 'Coldplay case', which then led to journalistic enquiries and legal actions that shook the Italian live promoting scene.

Among the objectives of the conference is the establishment of a stable and permanent structure of No Secondary Ticketing Observatoryin the style of the FPM - Federation against Music and Multimedia Piracy - which is responsible for monitoring the market by identifying cases of secondary ticketing and reporting them to the Judiciary, informing consumers about the risks of secondary ticketing and giving visibility to anti-secondary operations.

In addition, together with a small number of people and professionals, a draft statutory code of ethics was drawn up to help re-found the entire live music industry on a new ethical basis, which will be presented and commented on during the conference.

The meeting, which will take place in two sessions (morning and afternoon), will be attended by artists, agents, managers, media, producers and promoters, SIAE, ticketing companies, representatives of institutions, consumer associations and concert audiences.
