It will be the DUEL of his native Naples to host the last date of MEG's tour, which began last February after the release of his first solo album on the Multiformis/BMG label. Saturday 17 December at Duel in Naples will therefore mark the (momentary) end of a long adventure on the road, born and raised together with the faithful musicians Alessandro Quintavalle (low), Paolo Cucco (drums) and Mario Conte (keyboards), with whom Meg has developed great understanding and harmony over the past year. In addition to the music, the Neapolitan evening will also feature visuals created by Mattia Casalegno (Kinotek).
Saturday's concert therefore promises to be a big party, in the company of fans and friends who have seen Meg grow up in their Naples, the city where Meg will focus - during the New Year - on the work of the long-awaited second album.
The first, self-titled album marked Meg's solo breakthrough and yielded four excellent singles ("Symbiosis", "Winged Words", "Fearless" e "Audioricordi") enthusiastically received by the general public. In the single 'Without Fear', Meg reinterpreted an old song by Toquinho e Vinicio De Moraeshelped by Elio e Le Storie Tese. Meg was also featured with one of her songs in "GE2001"the compilation by Supporto Legale in support of the Genoa Legal Forum. For Meg, this marks the end of a musical year full of satisfactions also on the live side, from appearances at the most prestigious Italian festivals such as the Flippaut Festival of Bologna and Goa Boa of Genoa, to the invitation on stage at the Circus Maximus during the Live 8 in Rome to duet with Federico Zampaglione of Tiromancino, not forgetting the 'Isle of MTV' event where Meg was the only Italian artist present at the event, joined by world famous names such as Chemical Brothers, Garbage and Snoop Dog.
The year 2005 will also be remembered for Meg's participation as an actress in 'Tree'r Us', a film produced by Spike Lee and shot by the young and talented Neapolitan director Luca Curto. The film, a parallelism between trees and humans, was shot in a forest in Basilicata together with other artists such as Raiz and Caparezza, with music by Marco Messina.
