Megan Nicolethe young Texan artist who became famous thanks to her performance videos on YouTube, with over 1,600,000 subscribers and over 350 million views, arrives in Italy in January to present tracks from his first album, to be released by the Bad Boy/Interscope founded by artist and hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Megan Nicole will perform on 31 January 2014 at the Salumeria della Musica in Milan.
Opening the concert will be Matt Owlthe young Italian artist who came to the attention of the YouTube audience with his acoustic interpretations of famous songs.
Born in Houston and raised in the small town of Katy (TX), Megan spent her childhood in the 1990s listening to the music of previous decades: the Queen, Al Green, Stevie Wonderand various artists of the 1970s funk era. Around the early years of high school, he discovered his vocal talent, also taking up the piano and eventually leading the church youth choir. The real breakthrough came in 2009, however, when he posted his version of "Use Somebody" of the Kings of Leonimmediately caught the attention of the network audience. Since then, his rise has been steady: his performance in "The Lazy Song"of Bruno Mars attracted over 37 million views, and brought it to the attention of Harve Pierrepresident of the Bad Boy.
After signing for the label, Megan Nicole released its first original single, 'B-e-a-utiful"whose video, directed by Kurt SchneiderIt achieved over 24 million views.
Currently Megan Nicole has moved to Los Angeles, where she is working on her long-awaited debut album.
