Beach, sun, waves, palm trees... this is where the songs of Jack Johnson. A professional surfer and musician who lives between California and Hawaii, Johnson last year brought us the beautiful single "Good people"taken from the album 'In between dreams"which was appreciated by the public and the press.
2006 opens with the publication, on 10 Februaryof the cd "Sing-a-longs and lullabies: for the film Curious George", an album of songs written and inspired by the new animated film "Curious George"which is released on 6 February in the US and 21 April in Italy. The album includes nine new tracks and three duets with Ben Harper, G. Love e Matt Costa. It will feature the voices of Will Ferrell and Drew Barrymore and is produced by Ron Howard's Imagine Entertainment. The first single that will promote Johnson's album will be "Upside down"and will also be used for the film's trailers.
The artist, meanwhile, received 2 nominations for the prestigious UK Brit Awards this year, which will take place at Earls Court in London on Wednesday 15 February, in the categories Best International Male Solo Act and Best International Breakthrough Act.
Jack Johnson will be for the first time in Italy on 9 Marchwhen he performs at theAlcatraz, Milan. Special guests of the evening Matt Costa.
